My Infoman Introductory Blog: An Exciting Beginning!

Hi everyone! My name is Franklin John T. Francisco, Frank for short. I am from Negros Occidental. My father is a farmer and my mother a retired elementary school teacher. I have two siblings. I graduated with a degree in Community Development and have worked in the field of social development for more than 12 years. Early this year, I decided that I needed a change in scenery and the experience and knowledge of new things and friends. I took the best course of action – I enrolled in the MBA program of DLSU. I want to learn how to manage a business so that I could start one of my own.

I am privileged to have visited many places in the course of my work. I have travelled to many cities and provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao. I have been to Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Dubai, and Vietnam. My journeys have provided me with an appreciation of the distinct ambiance and culture of each place, and a culinary experience that was exciting as it was filling.

I like reading literature, science fiction, and articles on psychology, science and technology. I also play the piano but have not been able to practice since the day Ondoy inundated our village, submerged my piano and damaged it beyond repair.

I keep myself updated with IT developments through online magazines such as PC World. I am familiar with Windows and MS Office applications. My gadgets are limited to a laptop and a Nintendo DS Lite. I may not be very tech savvy, but I actively search for and use downloadable or online applications such as OMMWriter, an uncluttered word processor with Zen background and music, and ePub for reading eBooks.
